Tour to the Imperial Nuremberg

Each city has its own history, character and traditions, its memorable places, its purpose. Nuremberg — mysterious, enigmatic, and not like other cities. There is much speculations about the origin of this name, many argue that it comes from the word “rock or stone rock”, because the castle rose on a rocky cliff. It marked the beginning of city life. This statement is prosaic and ordinary, but all genius lies in simplicity. Take a tour in Nuremberg with a professional guide, a narrative of whom will not be bored. Nuremberg — the city of the Emperor

Around the castle a settlement appeared and life went on as usual. In the Renaissance, the famous humanist and poet, Helius Jesus, based on the Latin origin of Nuremberg, gave the city its name “Beautiful Noris” and Johann Helwich, poet, physician and healer, gave him a new assignment, creating a nymph by the name of Norris in his poems, which is a romantic symbol of the city.

The big attraction of the city is Nuremberg castle — Burg, regally ascended over the old city, which keeps its own history, its age, its owners. The castle consists of three separated from each other fortresses. The Imperial fortress has a long and distinguished history that began during the reign of Emperor Henry III. The surviving chapel of St. Walburga, where today the Orthodox Church holds its worship services, the old management house and pentagonal tower remind about the historical past of the city. During the middle ages, in the era of the Holy Roman Empire, the Kaiserburg Nuremberg kept Imperial regalia: the crown, sword, clothes ruler, the sacred spear and a nail from the cross of Christ. The Emperor, Frederick II, known as Barbaros, brought his changes in structure, dividing the Imperial castle into two parts: the courtyard for Royal chamber and close people, and the outer courtyard which were connected by an arch to go. You should pay attention to the impressive architectural design of the structure of the “Double Choir”, with two small chapels on the top – for the Imperial and lower – for ordinary people. “Deep well”, carved into the rock primitive way — with a hammer and chisel is very interesting for tourist viewing. Tower Singelton is mentioned in history as a fortification of the Kaiserburg, and now from its height, tourists can enjoy the panorama of the surrounding area and the city of Nuremberg. But the bastions of the city please the audience by a view of the magnificent Park.

Nuremberg is famous not only for historical past: modern city is also very rich, successful and proud of its magnificent subway, beautiful fountains and delicious traditional dishes.
